An exceptional programme

This immersive programme prepares people in positions of responsibility to lead their teams and projects with greater assurance. It alternates demanding scenarios, structured input, operator testimonies and collective debriefs, up to a final synthesis mission run in a complex situation. It is led by professionals from the Special Forces, with safety maintained throughout: the immersion is deliberately non-physical and open to all.

What you will develop

A natural, elegant setting in the Basque Country

The programme takes place in Biarritz, in an exceptional setting between ocean and mountains. Participants are accommodated and catered for on site, in an atmosphere that fosters cohesion and perspective. Each morning opens with a free activity (running, surfing, Basque pelota) before action-driven days: 70 % scenarios, 20 % debrief, 10 % structured input.

Easy to reach

International airportBiarritz Pays Basque airport, about fifteen minutes from the venue, with daily connections to Paris and major European cities.
High-speed trainBiarritz station served by the TGV: direct access from Paris and France's main cities. Drop-off at the station at the end of the course.

Learning objectives

  • Lead a team and decide under constraints of time and resources;
  • Structure and steer a project with a repeatable method;
  • Run a structured debrief and draw actionable lessons;
  • Prepare and lead collective action in a degraded environment.

Prerequisites and audience

Leaders and managers, in post or taking up a role. No theoretical prerequisites. A deliberately non-physical immersion, open to all.

Teaching methods

Active, experiential immersion: supervised scenarios, structured input, operator testimonies and collective debriefs. Following the ARXIBALD approach: 70 % scenarios, 20 % debrief, 10 % theory.

Assessment

  • Beforehand: expectations and self-assessment;
  • During: observation of scenarios and debriefs;
  • At the end: assessment of learning and individual action plan;
  • Immediate satisfaction, then cold evaluation of transfer.

Resources and facilitators

Collective accommodation in Biarritz, equipped room, teaching materials and scenario equipment. Designed and led by Gilles Duplay, founder of ARXIBALD, with facilitators from the Special Forces.

Is any particular physical condition required?

No. The immersion is deliberately non-physical and open to all; safety is maintained at all times by the supervising team.

Where is it held and how do I get there?

In Biarritz, in the Basque Country, about fifteen minutes from the international airport and the high-speed train station. Participants are accommodated and catered for on site.

How many participants per session?
