Serious games designed or adapted by ARXIBALD to bring decision-making under uncertainty to life. Each game is run from a facilitator console, shown on a central screen, and connects every team from its own computer.
Iraq, 2014: the Islamic State is marching on Baghdad. Six teams play the United States, Iran, the Islamic State, the Iraqi Prime Minister, the Sunni opposition and the Kurdistan Regional Government. Each turn, a team states what happens and why it should succeed; the others support or object; the dice decide. An exercise in argument, negotiation and reading the other side's intent. The game itself is played in French.
The console asks for the ARXIBALD facilitator code and must be opened first. Teams connect at arxibald.com/serious-games/isis-crisis/ with the team code shown in the console's Liaison tab.
